  1. That is a painful article isn't? How many news reports have there been of an elderly person with dementia or Alzheimers, being neglected to the point of death by a family member or friend. Why does no one ever see this happening, or do they? It just upsets me so. But then I remember that to soceity, to the government, these are the "throw a ways", so why waste money, why spend time to fix the problem or save the individual. Occasionally the wrong is made right, justice prevails, ethics and morality actually are seen, but unfortunately in too many instances that just doesn't happen. So, who cares? Me....

  2. Let's make a pact: find one person in your town who has no one to take care of them and find a way to help them. The only way to make a change is to be the change.
